The Traveler's Rest Brew Pub
The Traveler’s Rest Brewpub, located at Pleasant View B&B, has been a long-term goal of Donald Milbrand’s. Don started brewing his own beer in 1991, when he realized he liked craft brews, however, was on a Budweiser budget.
After many tries with the town and obtaining the correct permits, The Traveler’s Rest Brewpub, a 24-seat venue, opened to the public November 15, 2021. The brewpub is a comfortable, relaxing place with exposed wood beams, a toasty pellet stove for the cold months, and walls filled with eye-catching memorabilia.
On tap are 6 -7 of Don’s brews, featuring Favorite Niece Red Ale (named after his favorite red-haired niece, Abigail); Cascade’s Big Air Ale, for Cascade, one of Pleasant View’s 2 friendly black labs (she is the big air jumper who holds a veteran title in DockDogs); Skinny B Bock, for Kristen, his sister-in-law; and many others.
Also on tap are several local NH craft brews, as well as wine from Crazy Cat Winery, located in Bristol, and Whippletree winery, from Tamworth.
The brewpub has a light dinner menu, featuring homemade soups (French onion being the house favorite), paninis, open faced sandwiches, nachos and pizza to order, and homemade desserts by Heidi, the Inn Wench. Some guest favorites include blueberry bread pudding, cheesecake, and Bailey’s Cookies & Cream Parfait. In the warmer months, enjoy your beverage on the deck - and, it's pet friendly, too!
Stop by, have a seat, and raise a pint. Who knows? You might even book a stay at Pleasant View B&B so you are able to take in the surrounding area!
